Look for that Purple Pinkie! A person with a purple pinkie finger has supported Rotary’s “Polio Plus” Project to eradicate polio. Your contribution today will help Rotary raise $200 million to match $355 million in challenge grants received from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The resulting $555 million will directly support immunization campaigns in developing countries, where polio continues to infect and paralyze children

The Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven offers an opportunity to connect with other people who are similarly interested in actively working to make our community, country, and world a better place. All Rotarians are expected to abide by the highest code of ethics in both their  personal and their professional lives.  We strive for all of our actions to meet “The Four Way Test...” Of the things we think, say, or do

First….Is it the TRUTH?
Second...Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Third...Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Fourth...Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Why Rotary?

Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven is a service club of local business and professional men and women.  We volunteer our time and resources to serve the needs of others, through projects in Lock Haven, the surrounding communities, and around the world.  We meet weekly to share in fellowship and learn about some aspect of or need in our community.

Membership Responsibilities

Each member is expected to attend regular weekly meetings and is required to attend at least 60% of meetings each quarter.  A member can attend and make up a meeting at any Rotary Club in the world, including online. Each member is required to pay annual dues and is expected to support Club activities and projects.

Rotary has helped reduce the spread of polio throughout the world since 1985. Polio can cause paralysis and sometimes death.  Because there is no cure for polio, the best protection is prevention. For as little as $ .60 worth of vaccine, a child can be protected against this crippling disease for life. The Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven contributes to this effort with annual projects.
